Registrations are open for Murraylands and Riverland Regional Soils School.

Join the South Australian Soils Collaboration Centre (SCC) for a hands‑on look at soils and management practices that shape our farming systems.Gain valuable insights through soil pit demonstrations, producer-led discussions, presentations from soil specialists and practical examples showing how soil constraints influence on-farm management decisions.

Register for a full day, part day, or all three days

Day 1: Southern Mallee (Yumali & Lameroo) - Monday 30 March 2026
Day 2: Northern Mallee (Loxton, Wunkar, Holders Siding) -Tuesday 31 March 2026
Day 3: Murray Plains (Punthari, Sanderston) - Wednesday 1 April 2026

The project is supported by the Australian Government through funding from the National Heritage Trust under the Climate Smart Agriculture Program with assistance from the Murraylands Riverland Landscape Board and through the Partnering to Implement the National Soil Action Plan program.

Soil Science Australia's Soil Management Training
Tuesday 12 May to Wednesday 13 May
About the event
Soil Science Australia (SSA)'s Soil Management Training is open for enrolment and involves a hands on field training component in Lobethal.

This program equips practioners with the skills to collect, analyse and interpret soil data confidently and is designed for practitioners who provide advice to landholders, including agronomists, farm advisors, agricultural consultants and extension officers, as well as policy officers who deal with soils within their work contect.

This training can lead to a national soil accreditation. Please note that while the website asks that you complete online Modules 1 – 4  (15 hours)  before attending the field training, it's ok if you haven't got it all done. Completing the first 2 modules would suffice.
